The Be-PrEPared Toolkit

The Be-PrEPared  Toolkit provides information needed to increase knowledge and build capacity for addressing health disparities that lead to HIV/AIDS, and the use of HIV prevention methods such as PrEP.

The Toolkit is divided into two parts: (1) the Resource Center and (2) the Learning Center.

  • The Resource Center: additional resources to increase knowledge and awareness about the health of cis and trans women
  • The Learning Center: targets health outreach contains outreach tools needed to increase capacity for addressing health disparities, HIV/AIDS among women of color and information about PrEP

Information found in the Learning Center can also be tailored to meet your outreach needs to address HIV/AIDS prevention, PrEP, and health disparities.

Be-PrEPared Increasing Knowledge & Awareness about HIV/AIDS and PrEP utilizing a Comprehensive Women’s Health Approach was funded by Gilead Sciences. Funds are not used to promote or purchase Truvada for PrEP as an HIV biomedical prevention strategy. The Be-PrEPared health education curriculum, Stories in Sisterhood and educational resources were created to raise knowledge and awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention efforts. This includes the use of biomedical prevention strategies such as PrEP, and to increase capacity for addressing health disparities and negative health outcomes among cis and trans women of color.
